Tagore hill named after the famous Tagore family is located near Ram Krishna Mission Ashram at Morabadi about 4 kms from GEL Church Complex, Main Road, Ranchi. It is said that Nobel Laureate Ravindra Nath Tagore wrote several of his books at the top of the hill which is at a height of around 300ft.

About 6 kms north of GEL Church Complex, Main Road, Ranchi on Kanke Road, is situated the Gonda Hill with a water reservoir on top is an ideal place for a picnic.. At the foot of the hill is a big lake, Kanke Dam. There is rock garden here with several structures or statues made of stone. The Rock Garden is a picturesque picnic spot.

Ranchi Rock Garden is situated about 6 km. north of GEL Church Complex, Main Road, Ranchi. It has tried to resemble its design to the Rock Garden of Jaipur. The spot has been developed into an artificial garden, complete with water falls and sculptures. Dassam Falls is also known as Dassam Ghagh. It is about 40 km away from Ranchi on Tata Road is a village called Taimara near which flows the Kanchi River. This river falls from a height of about 144 feet that makes a beautiful spectacle. It is encircled with charming scences.
::~Johna Falls~:: 
Jonha Falls, also known as Gautam Dhara is situated around 40 kms from Ranchi on the Purulia Highway. These falls can be admired by descending around 500 steps. It is a popular picnic spot near the Kanchi River. The scenery around it is very picturesque. There is a tourist rest house which accommodates Lord Gautam Buddha's temple. Every Tuesday and Saturday a fair is organized in Johna.
::~Hundru Falls~:: 
Hundru fall is about 45 kms east of Ranchi Town. The Swarnarekha River falls from a height of 320 feet making a wonderful scene after the monsoons. At the base of the fall a beautiful pool is formed which allows visitors to take a good bath, but with precautions. During rainy season it takes a formidable form but in summer it turns in to an exciting picnic spot.

About 70 km. from Ranchi on way to Chakradharpur and 42 miles north of Chaibasa on Ranchi - Chaibasa Road is located Hirni Falls; another fascinating water fall with beautiful surroundings. Situated amidst dense forests Hirni has been favoured by nature for scenic beauties. The tourists are carried away by emotions and flight of imagination while at Hirni.
